Suggest an Upgrade and Question about services
F10 Titanium Silver. 530D M Sport
I want to keep it stock. So far I have done a wheel re trim and created my own Alpine Equiv Sound System which blows all stock options out the water and cost around £900 fitted. Was thinking about shocks - new ones? Will this make the car feel newer and tighter? Power Upgrade - they do not do for f10 530D sadly - I wont aftermarket chip it... too expensive a car Question: If I have my brakes replaced somewhere other than a main dealer - but retain all services at the main dealer a. Will they see this as invalidating any extended warranty? |

Storm - I think we concluded you need to sell this car for a new F10, not upgrade it!
Replacing worn suspension parts - shocks, springs, and especially bushings - can make the ride feel very nice and new again - do it in concert with new (non run-flat) tires, and it's a beautiful thing. If you lower the car with lower springs, you can also improve the handling, but the trade-off is less utility and less comfort as it may impact your ability to traverse certain bumps and also will make the ride harsher on uneven roads. Having your brakes done at a non-BMW shop shouldn't invalidate anything with your warranty. All that said - I wouldn't invest money into making your car better. Given what you've posted recently, I'd honestly sell it and replace it.

You can get a power upgrade for the 530d in the UK.
It comprises a remapped ECU an upgraded intercooler and brake disks/pads off a 535d I have it on my car |

Ha funny - Love this forum.
Maybe my old 2011 old fashion car doesnt have it.. I asked they said no not for your car? What is your year of man? Yes EZ just playing with ideas dude - £10k to change to the same exact car is a lot especially when the car I really want has High beam assist Pro nav Xenons Camera New Steering wheel And possible Multi Function Display ( rare ) It makes changing more like £15+ But I do hear you. Getting old now... want to be sure I can always have a nice car, changing too often means in 5-10 years I sustain a £50-100,000 loss in just depreciation alone. |
