I just changed my oil 2 days ago and checked under the car today to replace the transmission cover There was some oil on the skid plate on the bottom of the pan. Not enough to drip but causing a residue in the area. Here is a picture of the oil filter between the transmission and motor. I am under the gold warrantee from BMW. Will the warantee cover me? any thoughts on what you see in the photo.

Take it to the dealer and find out, also have them see if your car has any recalls.. You might be suprised

if its the right side its the Vacuum pump seal. changed as part of the CCP.
did mine before the CCP. 5$ part but 4 hours work!
