Non German... but just for funsies
Got a "beater" truck last week. Wanted something that wouldn't require $1,000 for every part I wanted to mod... although I will be dropping a bit of coin on a 383 Stroker crate engine for it....
Here it is beside its Bavarian sister LOL

Nice! I had a '71 F100 for a while and then went to a 2000 F250 4-door for driving the kids around. They had a ball. If you can afford it and it's old enough not to depreciate too much while you have it, old beater vehicles really help you with cravings to get 'something new'. After you've had a year or 2 of fun, you can resell and move on to something else!
From a distance, it looks like it has pretty nice paint and maybe minimal rust. Nice find! |

So I'll probably do a moderate amount of suspension work and get the basics sorted like a rear disc brake conversion. The interior gauges / wiring is a mess so I'll probably spend time rerouting and cleaning up basics. I just want a clean interior that looks almost stock. Other than rebuilding the tranny in there (maybe even a 5 or 6 spd manual transmission). I don't want to spend a lot of time or money on it... I'll probably unload in a few years. The truck literally costs less than some guys spend on exhausts for the F10 LOL! It's funny some of the guys who mod these trucks actually autocross them! I'll settle for burnouts, pissing off my granola neighbors, and Home Depot runs.... the greatest mod on he docket is finishing out the loft of my garage to an in law suite and making my garage what I want it.
