2012 535i Lease quote

Your opinion on this quote I received, it looks quite high to me?

2012 535i M-Sport in Carbon Black
-------------------------------------------
The vehicle you have built-MSRP=$66,720

We would use a selling price of=$63,920

3 year @ 10,000 miles per year=$931.12 (includes all tax and bank fees)

This would be using the available (7) MSD's=$6650.00

Total out of pocket=$7656.12 (includes msd's, 1st payment, plate fees)

just added:
The write down on the money factor is a 195 down to a 146…....

$925 Acquisition fee

At the 195 factor (no msd's), the payment would be $984.76…....This is a savings of $55.92 X 36 = $2013.12

The residual = 59% of MSRP = $39,364.80

Looks silly high to me. I'd get one with less 'stuff' and mod it.

Not sure what you mean by "silly" high. Just as a reference point, I have a lease of around $66K and my payment is just over $1/mo with California taxes. I did not use the MSD option. So for $63K, that lease payment sounds about right. It's clear that the 535i has a lot of options on it given the MSRP, I know mine does. The lease payment sounds about right to me given the price. If you want a car with a lot of options, that's the cost!

Um, make that $1K. $1000. From a pure numbers standpoint, the numbers look about right to me based on what you posted. There are plenty of lease computation pages on the Internet if you want to double-check.

MF is nice, residual not so much — rates for the new F30 are much better, residual on a 36-month lease with 10K miles/year would be 65%. That's a good $100/month lower depreciation.

I wouldn't say that is "silly high" by any means, but you may shop around for a more aggressive dealership. I recently moved from OH to TX and Classic BMW in Dallas is one of the largest dealers in the country, so they can really offer aggressive pricing. My wife and I both recently purchased 2012 BMW's and she got about $6000 off MSRP and I got just under $5000 off, so while your quote is fair I think you can push for deeper discounts if you shop the dealerships

~$930/m on a 67K MSRP is the definition of silly high (especially with the upfront costs you're looking at!). Please take a look at bmwconfig.com and find a board sponsor to purchase from, if you haven't already.
