New member - 2013 535X

Just picked up a CPO 535X drive. It is the fifth BMW for my wife and I over the last 10 years. Previously leased every car, including a 2006 3 sedan, 2009 5 sedan, 2012 3 coupe, and a 2015 4 convertible. This is the first one we bought outright. We got tired of leasing and plan to own it for a while.

Black/Black premium, driver assist, cold weather, comfort. Dealer added the 19" 453 wheels for us, and added two years to the factory service plan at one years dealer cost. Warranty and service plan now go through July 2019.

We are really enjoying being back in the luxury sedan after the 3 & 4.

I don't plan on modding it too much. It's my wife's daily driver. As it's not an M Sport, I plan to do the sport steering wheel swap. I'm considering doing the BMW PKK, and maybe an axle back exhaust swap. This car is under warranty and full service plan for another 38 months, and is my wife's driver. I probably won't start to really mod it until she moves on to another car.

Besides, I have two other toys that I am constantly tinkering with.....

Pretty much illegal everywhere. Just don't have weed in the car when you get pulled over for a fix it ticket.

My experience is luxury cars usually get ignored by law enforcement. Full tinted cars that get pulled over are typically Hondas or older cars that look like a bad need for speed attempt with fart can mufflers.

NJ has very strict window tint laws, and I live in an area where most everyone drives expensive cars. If you have NJ tags and tinted windows, you will absolutely be pulled over and hit with a $54 ticket every time.

If you are stuck in a roadside inspection, you will fail inspection and have to get the tint removed to pass. I have no desire whatsoever to become a rolling cop magnet.

I think in NJ you can tint the rear windows, not the front.
