356 Wheel - Powder Coat - Bengal Silver

Sneak preview pic!

Today, managed to get the rears on. Weekend is a no go, working out of town. Monday, fronts will be mounted.

Got a great deal on machine face 356 wheels. Took them to my local PC, Embee. Chose Bengal Silver color.

Thanks! And thank you for your build thread! It was very useful to me! Great videos and pics of the 356 in action! Gave me ideas on wheel color selection. Very, very happy with the conservative color chosen, as it aesthetically compliments the stock exterior/appearance. Thanks again!

The 356 wheels when I bought them...

Ok, I'll be back! Going to get the fronts squared away!

Good choice on the color. Wouldn't have thought a different shade of silver would look so good, haha.

Bengal Silver powder coat + clear coat. Pretty darn close to BMW Silver. When compared to my original 18" wheels, a little more sparkle in sun. In shade, spot on.

Today, will try to get in for an alignment.

John H,
Your car has the perfect stance, IMHO. What suspension is that on? Looks like it is dropped a smidgen. Perfect.

Hi Scott. I replaced the springs with H&R 50471. Also, replaced front sway to M5 29mm, and the rear to a 6 Series 16mm. My struts are stock.

H&R states that the avg. lowering is 1.5fr/1.3rr. From observation, drop appears to be what is claimed. I should have measured before/after.

I replaced the original sway bars with those mentioned. The replacements are larger in diameter.
