I decided I wanted to straight pipe my car so I took it to close by. They inspected the exhaust before they did any work and said if they were to delete the muffler they would need to cut out the wire attatched to the exhaust... I didn't get the chance to see exactly what wire they are talking about, but i'm pretty sure its the wire I circled in the picture. Are there any hazards to cutting this wire and if so what? Also are there any other hazards I should know about before completelt straight piping?

thats the vacuum hose for the exhaust flap.

no issues.

i have a super sprint exhaust installed and this 'wire' was removed to fit it. no problems

I've got the same car and always wondered about straight pipes. Please post a review and possibly a video when you get it done!
