2014 320i
I drove one as a service loaner, and could hardly tell the difference from a 328i, a lot better than MB 250.

drove my friends brand new c 250. straight up sucked. He thought it was such a nice car. Wrong. MY 535i outperforms it rather easily.

If you want to go in another direction have you considered a Vette? A used C6 Vette with a stick will get you 25+ mph on the highway, it's got power, but size-wise it's a little impractical. C6 Z06's are coming down in price now that the new Vette is out. I had an '08 Z06 it was a beast and got 27 mpg on the highway at 85 mph, not bad for a 505 horsepower car.

Just curious what price did you get for the 550i? I'm considering 2011 5 series and interested in used values.

You can get 2011 550i in low to mid 40s depending on the trim level. If you're gonna get one, make sure to get a fully loaded one, especially multicontour seat, sports pack

So today I went to a dealership and salesman was nice enough to let me drive 2013 335i M pack, fully loaded.
The car felt great, tons of power from engine and from awesome 8 speed transmission, Aslo it feels very light and sporty, interior is just awesome, mush smaller than f10 inside, but it also feels much smaller. Mirrors are identical shape and size as F10 +turn blinkers mounted in them.
If you haven't driven ZF 8 speed transmission, it is just awesome, superfast on downshifts, in sports mode it is asking to be downshifted, and shifting it with paddle shifter on steering wheel is instantaneous!
Car feels like it has way more than 300 hp, exhaust is loud but not too loud, something even i would drive everyday!
Rear design seems like its missing something, i'm not getting it, front on the other hand looks awesome with M-pack.
Electric steering in sports mode felt pretty heavy, and overall pretty satisfying!
Overall, i totally loved the car, I wish i could take it home with me, but $49xxx for preowned is way too steep for me at this point in life.
