+1 Those rims are not up to par. Especially for a 550. They look like they belong on the 525.

When will we finally see what the 550i is capable of? Will it be just as fast as the M5 E60? The 750 Li proved to be very quick.

I love the car's shadowline, but I prefer the 331 styling wheels to those 332s, and I don't like the exhaust tips, the .35i's round ones are better looking imo. Cheers Robin |

70k US$, thats about 50,000 euro's, you won't get a 520d for that money in Holland. The 550i starts at 94k(!) euros overhere. That's about 134k US$..... My 535i F10 with a few packages comes close to 121k US$.(85k euros) Just be happy with your S5. Cheers Robin |

I think you need to give the new one some time to grow on you. Also, seeing it in person may help. I love the styling of the E60, but I prefer the F10 a little more. I just don't like that BMW is making the styling on these cars so similar, both inside and out.

I just got back from this debut at the N.Y. Auto Show.
I'm sorry but, the interior does NOT seem larger than the E60. In fact I felt a bit trapped inside. The feeling I got is that this car is a slightly larger E90, but I could not notice an increase in interior space over the previous model. Other current owners of the E60 that were present agreed (or at least thought that the interior was the same size), though everyone thought the exterior was quite stunning. And of course, the car is definitely larger on the OUTSIDE. |

The reason it feels more cramped than the E60 is because they raised the centre console to make the driver feel more cocooned. The so-called sporty feel.

I'll buy that....
but while sitting on either side in the front, elbow room on both sides seemed to come at a premium. The doors on the E60 didn't seem to come up so close to you (when seated in a comfortable position). I'm not even sure if its due to the new seat design, either...maybe they are bulkier? There's actually a new power seat function that tilts only the top half of the seat forward & backward to give you better posture. It was quite cool, actually..... |

That would be the comfort seat; very adjustable on many planes. Even the sides of the headrest can be adjusted to fit different sized heads. Its a bit bulkier and does not have the scalloped back of the standard or sport seats so there may be slightly less legroom with them fitted.

it was torso & elbow room that was tight. So then the seats of the cars we see pictured @ the N.Y.A.S. are NOT the Sports Seats that come with the Sports Package, I would guess? Are you saying that Comfort Seats are a completely different seat design in comparison to the Sports Seats? |

From the photos, they look very much like the comfort seats to me (the "ears" of the head rests fold in). See page 21 of the EU catalogue ( http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=332628 ) for details of the available seat options: standard, sport and comfort. The sports seats are only electrically adjustable on two plans; the seat height and the seat rake. It is not adjustable for the back rest angle (the upper part of the seat that pivots). Also, sport seats do not have a TV attached to their backs
