This is my local dealership and I told them I wanted to drive a newer build than mine (mine is a 60 plate) and took it for a spin on the M55 on Friday.

Whether you did or you did'nt drive this particular car, you may want to think about stirring up unnecessary trouble between a guy who has just spent alot of money on his dream car and his dealer.

Personally even if I had driven it, why would I actually choose to take the shine off his purchase for no other reason than I can?

FWIW I think it's highly unlikely. If BMW found out that a dealer had allowed someone else to test drive a car purchased by someone else all hell would break loose. As soon as I bought my car on Saturday it was locked - I locked it - and it would have been removed from the showroom later that afternoon or at the latest on Sunday morning.
