Samsung galaxy s5 and my f10

Just got my phone upgraded to the Samsung s5, problem is I can't get it to connect to my late 2010 f10 with business media. Phone cannot find it? Any ideas? I had an s3 connected before which worked fine, streamed my music contacts etc perfectly. I have a transit for work and my new phone found that straight away.

try to update the firmware on Bmw website enter your vin and download 8MB file copy on memory stick and update.

Ive put my vin in but the page comes up blank?

Tried the same...blank. VIN doesn't appear to produce link for download. Probably too old (sept'10 production so I'm guessing software update only applies 2011+).

Yeh sure mines sept 10 production. So what next? Dont want to change phone as I like the Samsung, had a Sony Z 1 compact for a couple of days but didn't like it, that also connected and worked fine with my car.

I haven't updated mine but I would reckon a trip to the dealer :/

My cars going to the dealers this Thursday for a oil and brake fluid change, I've mentioned my problem with phone and they said that the phone isn't compatible. . She says they will see if they can update it and they need my phone to check this. As anyone encountered my problem? Hope it can be sorted and hoping if they can they don't charge me an arm and a leg.
