Goodyear Excellence RFT Flatspotting...

Have got about 400 miles on my car so far but noticed that if I don't drive the car for about 2 days I get pretty bad flat spots/vibration that take a few minutes on the highway to get rid of.

Tire pressure is okay as well and have an appointment to get the car road force balanced but want to see if anyone else is getting flatspotting problems on their Goodyears.

This is my first car with RFT, do they flat spot easily or did I get a bad set of tires?

Because otherwise I think I'm going to try to exchange the tires...

I've had no issue with these tires. You may want to check out your warranty. If you have bad tires they should be replaced free of charge.

I had vibration problems from day one... Around 70 to 120 km/h I can feel a slight vibration. Somedays more than other. Maybe the flatspotting is the problem. I've had bad tires give me this kind of vibration as well, in the past. The dealer (singular because there's only one) is not very cooperative sometimes. They checked the balance when new and I'm supposed to go back but haven't had time lately.

See if there's a Good Year retailer near you. They maybe able to help you in terms of determining whether the tires are bad and having a bridge to the company for a warranty repair or replacement.

I was shopping for my new F10 Monday and my SA said that they are having problems with some of the Goodyears, and in fact BMW was replacing them on a lot of E90. But only if people complained, in other words, no service bulletin.

I had one of the first E90's that had the vibration problem. BMWNA offered to buy my car back, but I did not let them. I told them it was the tires. I never had them replace the tires. After 10k miles it stopped. At 38,000 miles I had a blowout. I then put non runflats on and it was much better. These new Goodyears seem great so far IMO.

I have no vibrations at all you may want to get them checked out.

I like these tires too, but the replacement cost with labor and tax is creeping towards the 2k mark. I'm leaning towards getting the:
non RFT Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position
