Veriable Damper Control!!!

Can someone explain this as I have ordered it and I was hoping it would allow me to change Suspension independent of Chassis.
Is this correct?. Thanks.

I have VDC on my F10. Basically it changes the suspension set up. Comfort+ is the most damped ride, then Comfort (which is the default on mine and also the suspension setting used with Eco Pro), then there's Sport, which is firmer, weights up the steering as well and sharpens throttle response and finally there's Sport+ which is like Sport but also switches off some of the traction control aids.
Separate to that if you have an auto box, you can play with the change up points by moving the gear lever to the left into Sport mode, which makes the engine change up at higher rpm.
Having owned F10s with and without VDC, I think you've made a good decision.

Thanks, so I can't change just suspension settings without upping engine response then?, I was hoping to set it too Sport suspension and Comfort engine settings.
EDIT: I have the sport auto box too in Sport + Pack.

Yes, pretty sure you can do that, I did in mine. Didn't like it revving madly in Sport, so adjusted drive train settings in iDrive independently of suspension settings.

Great thanks, I don't like the engine revving high all the time.

You'll still have the option to set to Chassis, or Drivetrain, or both. Suspension and steering together, throttle mapping and shift program together.

I check the chassis option, as I don't want the sport drivetrain active when I toggle to Sport mode. I'll use the M/S program (flick the shifter to the left) if I want temporary sport shifting. Sport+ puts it into the Sport drivetrain program anyway, even without it checked, does so in my 535i.

Thanks Pete, good to know, I like the Sport suspension on open roads but don't engine mapping most of the time.
