DVD/Audio CD

Does anyone know why if you put a DVD audio CD in the car it doesn't play it? I understand it doesn't play DVD's unless its parked but why not a DVD audio?

It does not support a "DVD-Audio" discs (DVD-A)
These are a digital format of their own

From the USA owners manual
