Sup guys, I have a fully straight piped 535i with catless downpipes as well as stage 2 tune along with stage 3 transmission tune, my question is, how the hell is the f30 so freaking loud compared to the 535i ? After all they’re both n55 . My friend took me on a ride in his f30 and his was significantly louder and more aggressive. Keep in mind the f30 is straight piped too with same exact mods. Anybody else notice this ?

I don’t have an answer….but yes I have noticed that from factory stock exhaust of 335i is louder than stock 535i.

Shorter exhaust piping. Less interior sound dampening, so when you're riding inside everything sounds far louder.
