My car originally came with a sport heated steering wheel and vibration and I replaced it with the Msport steering. My car is a LCI…but the Msport steering is from a Pre-LCI car.

After the install, the vibration works just fine but the heat seems very very weak and when I scan the car it shows an error code saying wrong steering wheel variant. Everything else works perfectly fine including all buttons and paddles. The only buttons that don’t do anything are the active cruise control buttons on the new wheel which my vehicle doesn’t have so it’s expected.

Any ideas what could be the issue? And is there any way to confirm if the new steering is a heated version?
