2011 535i price

Given a wholesale price of 49,600 for "USA port of entry" for the 535i 2011, what would be a good price to negotiate on? What is the dealer holdback? Thanks!

Who's "we"? They don't call it a holdback, but BMW pays the dealer around 3% if they get a good CSI on the sale.

Do you know what qualifies as good CSI? I asked a customer to fill out the survey and he gave me nothing but 8's and 9's, it gave me an 86, not what BMW considers, good. I called the customer and he said he never gives 10's for anything well were paids on 10's.

Every BMW and Mercedes I've purchased, the dealer has asked me to come to his dealership to fill out a survey together and hinted that he'll give me something as "appreciation for doing him a favour."

Now I know why I have nothing against it, they were all excellent reps and dealers, so I would have given them 9s or 10s anyway. Just interesting to know the back story.

Sorry to tell ya that the only time *I* give a "10" on any kind of satisfaction survey is when a physician or surgeon saves my life or relieves a seriously painful condition.Sounds like you guys need to have a chinwag with BMWNA regarding their expectations.

Yes I do. A 10. A 9.9 is a failure as far as BMW is concerned. This has been explained to me over and over and over again. It sucks because it sets the bar a little too high for the dealer and far too many customers (such as some noted above) consider an excellent job to be a 9.

Heck, one time I got a CSI call for a service visit and I said "I'm busy, call back later please" and that was recorded as an "unsatisfied" which got me a very upset phone call from the dealer service department.

I always give 10s. Or fives, when it was on a 5-point scale.
