Which springs for my 550?

What lowering springs are best for the 550 ?
Nothing too low and be able to keep ride quality ?

H&R Sport or EIBACH PRO-KIT

Also who has good prices on them ?

if going for springs, I'm reading a ton of positive reviews for ACS. Though they seem to be pricey.

I went with the Eibach for my 2011 550i. Couldn't be happier.

ACS are pricey, but if you want a quality set of springs that will give you a 1" drop (on my 550i) and maintain factory ride quality, while eliminating the factory floatiness/dive/squat then go with the ACS. They are worth the extra $$ imho for the ride quality and the slight drop!!

Not the best picture as the wheel wells are shaded, but it's the only one post-springs that I have.

Eibach makes the ACS springs, I would expect the Eibach spring to provide the same quality and ride as AVCS but withou the price tag.

This has been thoroughly discussed previously - posts state Eibach is the manufacturer for AC Schnitzer Designed Springs.

I believe Eibach drops lower and may be a bit tighter (rougher in ride).

ACS is about $440 shipped.

ACS would be your mild drop compared to the rest of the springs

eibach manufactures the springs to ACS' engineering specs.

From my research i've heard the eibachs tend to be a lower drop and a bit more bouncy.

Also i don't believe the eibach springs meet german TUV standards like the ACS do.

ok so H&R have separate sets of springs for the 528/535 & 550i

But other companies do not, they got into all 3 ... would it be bouncy since the engine is heavier ? if I go with springs that fit all 3 models

Eibach, acs and h&r have springs deigned for the size of engine and therefore weight of the car, just buy the correct springs for your engine type.

Eibach make springs in Germany and USA, those manufactured in Europe, assuming for the European market are tuv approved. TBH I would take the approval with a pinch of salt all there springs are built to high specs, not heard of them breaking on car where used for their intended use, e.g. Road.
