Wheel Advice - BBS offsets?

Hi all,

I am soon to be a F11 touring owner, as I am moving on from my E91 touring.

I have a set of 19" BBS CX-R is the following sizes..

19x8.5 ET32
19x9.5 ET32

Obviously these are E9x friendly offsets, and I am wondering if they would work on the F11, or would I be better off selling the 19" CX-R's and buying a nice set of 20"?

I have seen some 20" BBS CH-R's, but again I am not sure if they would work with the F11, the sizes are:

20x9 ET24 - 245/30/20 MPSS
20x10.5 ET24 - 295/30/20 MPSS

Is that too aggressive for the F11?

I will hopefully be lowering the front with 35mm H&R springs and investigating how to lower the rear air bags via coding, but I am yet to find this information!

First of all those 20" CH-R also comes in 20x9 ET29 and 20x10.5 ET35 and only the ET35 will fit in the rear. But I wouldn't go wider than 285/30/20.

If you're really low in the front, ET24 would sit flush because the front cambers in when lowered, on normal or slightly lowered ET29 is fine. I have 20x9 ET26 myself.

Here a thread with pics of a F11 with 20" CH-R.

The 19" CX-R will actually fit very well. The rear will sit just like OEM 19x9 ET44 with 18mm spacers, and I have that on my winter set-up.
Fronts could need spacers to match the rear fitment though.

Ok, so for a fully flush - but ZERO rub set up on a F11 (it will be lowered eventually) I would be looking at:

20x9 fronts - with a lowest offset of ET29
20x10.5 rear - with a lowest offset of ET35 - with a max tyre size of 285/30/20

Correct?

What is the max tyre size for the fronts?

I would want to have the same visual tyre profile? i.e I would want the tyres to 'look' the same on the front and rear rims with one not being more stretched that the other!

That's the CH-R fitment I recommend. Front tires can be 255/35/20, but 245/35/20 might match the 285/30/20 better.

Thanks!

I'm usually pretty clued up on offsets once I get my head around a new cars best fitment.

I'm very tempted to order a set of Liquid Black OEM BMW 356 rims as I dont know if I want the hassle of trying to get a set of decent afermarket rims for this car!

The drawback about those OEM 20" is that they're heavy and only 9" in the rear. The 20" 303 wheel from the F01 7 series actually fits the F10/11 better, 20x8.5 ET25 and 20x10 ET41.
And if you like BBS, what about the CI-R?

I like the CI-R, but I prefer concave BBS.

I have found 20" BBS CX-R which are 20x8.5 ET32 & 20x10 ET20

They would work wouldn't they?

ET20 is too aggressive. I'd say ET35 with the 20x10.5 is max aggressive.

The rear is a 10j - ET20, not a 10.5j - will this be OK?

I know, but it's 9mm more aggressive than the ET35 10.5" wide.
