OP, if you were to use 93 octane would the HP numbers improve to lets say 340-350?
But then the torque would be beyond the reliable numbers no ?

Yes the numbers would increase an estimated 20+ on both hp and tq. Something to note; GSR informed me that 6MT TQ numbers can be pushed higher than AT's. I will try and get more info from them on this.

Yep that's what it seems to be the Manual don't seem to have the Torque Limiter.
Have u taken it into service yet @ bmw ?
How many miles have u driven on the tune yet?
Thinking of testing your 1/4 time in the drag-strip ?
I still can't believe at 91 octane its producing so much torque, i was at least expecting 330whp and 380wtq lol on 91 and 350-380 whp / 400-420 wtq on 93.

I took in for service for pulling to the right and vibration. They performed a ECU update for the electronic steering and the their freaking software crashed! They said they had to reflash my ECU. In that process they wiped my tuned. GSR reflashed it for me. Good news is recently took it in again for the same problem, but this time the software didn't crash and my tune remained on the ECU!

I've put about 3k on the car since the tune and its working without errors. I have noticed a stuttering like effect, but it's not the tune is a problem with air to atmosphere which I can hear around 3500 RPM and then I hear it build up again. I've heard that the stock DV can barely handle stock boost levels. I'm hoping I don't have to change that out yet as I've heard it's difficult to get to the DV.

A DP and CP are scheduled in the next week and then a GSR stage 2 tune shortly after that. I'll dyno before and after.

The 1/4 mile drag times are not really in the plans, but that's because I don't know a good place to do that at in LA.

That is good to hear on BMW software not crashing and not wiping your ECU Flash. Did GSR modify something else? Did they see anything new with your ECU after being wiped? How did you notice it was wiped? How did you notice its not wiped now =)

I noticed it was wiped because the power loss is extremely noticeable. The tune vs stock is night and day. When I went back for the retune they saw parameters were back to stock. They also noticed that I had new software. They noticed that I had an option for exhaust flap open/close and my stock exhaust doesn't have that option.

Ya, unfortunately sometimes the dealers don't really know what is going on so they just start updating everything. Just like you computer - just reboot or reinstall.

Well all I know about that so far is I had an older chipset and they were able to load the latest software onto it. The only thing that was brought to my attention via GSR was that exhaust parameter addition. There was no full investigation as to what else was in the new software. I would venture to guess that since its new software it should have any and all service updates. It's basically whatever your getting in new F10's, I have now.

Haha I saw your other DIY. I still might have to go through it. I audibly purge boost 2-3 times in 2-3rd gears. Or maybe I have a leak else where. Thank you for sharing.

well that's no good. My car would hold until 3rd or 4th gear on a real hard pull, then just fall flat on its face and then pick back up, it was terrible! definitely a must do mod if you're having that issue. but no problem! and good luck!

well that's no good. My car would hold until 3rd or 4th gear on a real hard pull, then just fall flat on its face and then pick back up, it was terrible! definitely a must do mod if you're having that issue. but no problem! and good luck!

Yeah same flat face problem. DV+ sitting in front seat. We're going to take a closer look next week when I'm replacing the DP. I'll update shortly.
