I'm on the verge of buying the BMS piggyback for my 550 but I cant decide if I should go with the S1 or S2. I've read a lot of S2 cars are throwing the Drivetrain Malfunction error...has this gotten any better with vehicles that had the CCP done?

My car went through the CCP a few months ago, and I had all 8 injectors replaced last year right after I bought the car(misfire in a few cylinders).

I'm just trying to avoid trips to the dealership since my factory new car warranty just expired(still have the CPO warranty).

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Stage 2 w/Customer care package for about 3 months... no probs!! Drivetrain malfunctions usually come from changing the tune setting to aggressive.

If you are keeping your car stock, get the stage 1.
If you want to add Catless DP, get stage 2.

Are you positive they replaced your coils with the CCP?

I don't think coils were a part of the CCP, were they?

I believe it was up to the advisor? They didn't replace mine the first time around.

so what happened to get them to replace them? Coils were not mentioned in press release material regarding which components were up for replacement.

I complained about the hesitation in comfort mode at low rpms... didn't fix it though.

I believe they have a new HPFP recall for the n63, some members reported the comfort mode hesitation was gone after.

I am running the BMW Stage 2 (The new complete unit, not the upgrade from Stage 1) and had the CCP done to car before I bought it.

Took it on a 10 hour ride to Pittsburg. Have run it in multiple modes with ARS suspension and tuning a peddal box and Dinan exhaust. NO issues, no codes.

Now I recommend this gauge from P3cars. It give you boost, 0-60 times, air temp at intake AND can clear codes from computer. Plugs right into OBDII port and looks like it came with the car. http://www.p3cars.com/bmw-5-series/p...tal-interface/

Direct link to BMW Stage 2 purchase: http://www.burgertuning.com/N63_JB4_upgrades.html $799.00
