New to BMW, 535i MSport Xdrive
Hey guys,
I just picked up my first BMW today. I previously only had Benz's. I just recently sold my 08 C300 and went looking for a new car. After a few days of searching I was finally able to find one that I liked. I ended up getting a 2013 535i xDrive with the MSport package with 45k miles. Its pretty loaded and includes features like heads up display, 360 camera and many more. I have a few questions and was hoping if you guys were able to help. - I previously did a muffler delete on my C300, how would it effect the turbo and how does it sound? - Where is a good place to find visual modifications? I'm thinking of getting a new grill with the M color stripes and a lip rear spoilers (maybe CF). - Where can I find painted reflectors? - My warranty ends in like 7k miles, should I look into a extended warranty? and from where? Anything else I should know? Thanks guys Pictures of the car: Last edited by Ickdeep; 08-08-2016 at 02:44 PM.. |

Alot of guys have done muffler deletes, and while it sounds good, i'd imagine you'd get a lot of droning inside the car (may want to confirm this)
Lots of guys have also found m5 mufflers (or after market muffllers made for m5) on the classifieds section and had a good exhaust shop weld them on. I replaced all the reflectors, front-orange rear-red, with painted ones from Ind-distribution, just recently ordered a decklid spoiler from advanced tuning (painted) from ebay for $90. I couldn't bring myself to pay $500 for a piece of plastic that gets taped to my trunklid. Extended warranty is always good with a german car, as one major repair and the warranty will pay for itself. Nice car and color! Congrats! |

Congratulations! I just picked up a 2016 myself and I am also in Seattle.
For reflectors, I am going with clear ones (I would do smoked if I were you) as painted ones look pretty odd to me. After a week of ownership here is what I have on order or already installed: -Full Xpel & Tint -Euro Spec Headlight Switch -Clear Reflectors -Debadge -M5 Spoiler -OEM Floorliners as well as cargo mat -3 coats of Zaino To Do: -BMW Performance Front Spoiler -Euro Spec Tail Lights -Coding, Coding and more Coding. -Set of OEM BMW Take off winter wheels.

My car is AW, I had smoked ones on my E92 which was Space Gray. Let me see if I can find pics of it.

For Xpel and tint, I always go to NW Auto Shield. Reflectors are off of ebay.
