Possible to "aim" headlights on '15 535?
Just as the subject line states, I'm looking to reaim my headlights on my '15 535 MSport. The lights look like they only shine out for 100 feet or so. I've never had a BMW with this short of distance with my headlights. The car is brand new, only 4 months old and I'd like to do it myself if possible.

Look at
http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html Park on a level surface, turn off any active headlight functions (manual on), locate the levelling adjustments on the light assemblies (probably need a Philips screwdriver), bring a friend and take your time. It's worth it |

Mine are as close to being horizontal as they can be (from factory) certainly wouldn't want them any higher as they would dazzle but perfect where they are with a good reach.
I think from the factory they are generally set up every well and as high as is possible without dazzling other cars. I always get my car M.O.T.'d (required annual safety check) at the local BMW dealership and they have never changed it, one they were very busy and I took my previous BM to a non BMW garage and they ended up adjusting downwards so it was illuminating about 50 feet in front and that's it. very annoyed with them , took me ages to get it back to where it was from the factory. |
