Can we replace our Headlamp lenses?

Are these a replaceable item? like when they start getting pitted from stones, etc.?

I was just thinking of the same thing. My E46 used to be able to do this.. My front end is getting heavily beat up from all these road debris from potholes disintegrating.

Apply a hard coating on your lens and front bumper. I used opticoat on the whole exterior. Seems to work. Makes washing a whole lot easier too.

So far, I have no scratches and knicks from road debris. Even those automatic car washers don't leave tiny scratches anymore.

Like wax but it is harder, resist most chemicals, and last for years instead of days. When you wash the car, all the dirt and grime just slide off. If you apply it to the windshield, the water beads and also protect against cracks from small rocks on the highway. It did miracles for my front bumper and headlights. I used to have scratches, bug juices killing clear coats, paint chips from highway travel. Now i do the same trips and get almost nothing.

The bad thing is if you apply it wrong, it will look weird and feel rough. It's very hard to take off as well. Once applied, you can't put wax or anything on it because it will just slide off. As long as you wash your car, it will shine but it's a different shine. The color(mine is imperial blue) looks like it's deeper.

No, E46 was the last 3 Series where you could replace just the front headlight plastic ("lenses"')
Last 5 Series to have that option was the E39
