Post Help with new 343M style rims for 2011 550i

I made what appears to be a terrible decision (to save money) and bought 343M style Asian based replica's for my 2011 550i. They are 20x8.5 F and 20x9.5 R with 35mm off-sets. For the fronts, aside from the off-set being potentially incorrect, the rear spoke angle interfered with the mounting plate and upon attempting to mount, the back mounting plate pushed all the way back against the brake calipers. In any event, I'm looking at a fellow F10 poster with used M5 OEM 343's and would appreciate any feedback from wheel guru's with respect to best practices coming off my stock 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 wheels and the best OE deal on 343's if you know of one. Thanks in advance.

You could use spacers with these wheels and be ok.

The other option is to look on the M5 forum and see if anyone is selling their OEM set.

Pretty sure a OEM set would be pretty pricey compared to reps.

The OEM's are also forged. Check with some outfits that sell remanufactured wheels, basically they are cleaned up and refinished. I got a set of M5 343's for my car for $2400. The faces look brand new, but there is some overspray inside the rim barrels. You can't see it, but you can feel it when you wipe them down.

I got mine a Midwest Wheel and Tire
It took me awhile to find a set, but make sure you get them all from the same place so the shading on the wheels match.

I've got 2011 550i, the front wheels fit on my car perfectly, but on some later years they changed the brake calipers, the notch that allows the rim to clear is no longer machined in so you need to use a spacer to push the wheel out from the brake assembly. I'd use the thinnest spacer they make, just enough to clear. I'm also running 255/35/20 and 285/30/20 Michelin Super Sports and it's lowered on ACS springs. I wanted to run 295's in the rear, but I just don't have the clearance.

Good luck!
