Losing my mind!!!
Okay so I have been very patient with this dealer..! My car is leaking water all over the back seat threw the shark fin on the roof..! My car has now been to dealer 4 times to have it replaced/fixed! Every time I pick the car up I'm assured it's fixed I go to car wash or it rains and again water all over inside my car. I'm also going without my car for weeks at a time, I can't even put my kids in the back seat, I truly don't know my options here but idk what to do... I feel this is a major problem... Any input or solutions is very appreciated!

I'd have to guess the leak isn't coming from the fin - as others have said, this is a pretty straight forward fix when if it becomes a problem. Maybe you have a leak from somewhere else.
Also seems like you shouldn't need to keep taking the car back unless they can prove to you at the dealer that it's fixed. Shouldn't be hard. When you pick up the car, have them take you in it to their wash bay (most dealers have an area where they clean cars for delivery) and run it through some heavy water for 5 minutes or so. Don't take it back until it's fixed. BTW - each state has their own lemon laws; however, in many states, they usually provide for up to 30 days off the road and 3 consecutive attempts at the problem before lemon laws come into effect. BMW NA is really good, though, and it should never come to that. Call them up and explain the situation - they'll do their homework, call the dealer, and help make it right. Keep your cool with them - they'll help if you're professional.

you have a sunroof?
Sounds to me as if the drains for the sunroof is blocked or not connected. there is normally one at the front and one at the rear, both leading down to the wheel wells. in this picture, it may be so simple that the drain hoses #10 is plugged, or not properly connected leading the water into your car instead. According to the parts catalog there is one drain on each side in the rear, and on the drivers side in the front. have those checked if you have a sunroof. |

^I thought so. I have seen this on quite a few older BMW's where the hose has disconnected from the drain port, then the water ends up inside the car, usually in the back seat floor area.

Thanks for all the replies..! Yes they have checked the sunroof and rear window, everytime I go to pick it up they assure me it's fixed and also state they double checked it with a hose and it doesn't leak. I also contacted bmw na and told them what has been going on, no word back yet! I'm starting to think I should lemon the car as it's been in the dealer 4 times for same issue and the amount of water that had been in my car, in the carpets and all I just don't want the mildew smell and stuff. I'm thinking that's now my best bet. I've been very patient and the service rep has been so nice it's just how much should I take ya know!
