BMW Remote - "Upgrade" problem
I just upgraded the remote app on the I-phone 6 (iOS 8.1.1).
The most useful part of the app for me is the ability to search a location and then send it to the car. As near as I can tell, that feature is no longer available. What am I doing wrong? Thanks,

The search function in the latest BMW ISO 8 remote app is gone if you have a pre-LCI F10s with the older I-drive. It works fine on my LCI F10, unfortunately, BMW did not tell us that on the update description. The best you can do at this point is to try to recover the older version of the app on your itune.

Serves me right I suppose for upgrading for no good reason.
Great suggestion by the way. I deleted the app and then restored it from my I-tunes back up. Thanks much!

The new version works fine for me on iOS 7 and 8. It appears that most but not all 2014 and 2015 owners are not having the issue with the search box missing. |

I have 2 cars on my BMW Remote App. A 2011 528i and a 2014 X5. The Google search works as normal for the 2014 X5 but for the 2011 528 the only way I can send a destination to the car is if I have it entered as a contact. So there IS a way, just not a very efficient way. If it can send a contact it ought to be able to do the Google search and send it, right? Or is BMW trying to get me to upgrade to a new car...which they did but not for that one reason. I want all the cool stuff my wife has on her 2014 X5

For those who were having problems with this, there's an update today in the App store stating "This update fixes a bug which did not allow Online Search for Model Year 2013 and earlier vehicles."
Update it and see if that solves your issue |
