HID Fogs Question

One of my fog lights went out this weekend, noticed because of the error in the dash. So I am thinking of taking this opportunity to upgrade to HIDs, my buddy sells fairly cheap HID kits that are pretty good.

Now my question is will they give me an error, do they need to be coded ? I am trying to avoid any of that.

If he sells 35 watt HID kits, you will most likely need a Canbus decoder.

If the canbus error eliminators he sells consist of a power resister, those things get really hot, be careful where you mount it.

I do, my both front and rear fogs are on 99% while I drive my car.
I use the Angel light and the fogs during the day.

Why would you drive around with the rear fogs on, that's very annoying for the cars behind you.

Nope...don't use them at all. Lights are bright enough even in the fog

Maybe you can try driving around with the headlights off and just use the DRL at night, that would be even less glare for the on coming drivers.

Hence the reason why they don't give us rear fog lamps in America. :

I wont if they don't tailgate me. Drivers in the US do not keep the proper distance, if they drive like that in Europe, they would get a ticket. What really ticks me off are those drivers who tailgate me even when there is no traffic and I am already doing 20 MPH over the speed limit and I am not in the passing lane, why don't they just go around me and pass me? For those special occasions, I like to use my rear fog, if that doesn't work, I will check my brakes until it gets on their nerve.
