A/C issues not blowing cold air
Heyyy guys!!
i just purchased a used 2011 BMW F10 535i M sport with 44k miles The a/c does not blow cold air at all.. It only blows the air but nothing cold at all.. Before i take it in for check up, I would like to know if this a common issue that i can take care of myself or am I better off taking it to the dealer?? Im located in WEST PALM BEACH, FL area so if theres anyone who can help, I would appreciate it! Thankssssssssssss |

if you did this your self with auto parts Freon you will probably need Freon again soon. I say take it to authorized dealer and get it checked make sure its not leaking. if you have leak and I runs out you will screw up your AC compressor and that's not cheep. |

On an F10 the ac pressure switches operable window should be 30-480PSI +- a few psi. Pressure above or below that window will cut the compressor off for safety. |

I have the same issue with mine, it was working fine last week, AC was blowing icy cold air, and today temperature in Montreal is 42+ degrees C. I turned on AC and its warm air coming out. Called the dealer and they said they can't add freon without at least checking for a leak due to legal policies + diagnosis so minimum 200$ for just a checkup. I'll give u an update on my situation.

Performed a vacuum and then Filled it with freon yesterday until recommended pressure (mentionned under hood) so far so good. AC is back better than ever, lets see how long this'll last. Hopefully til the end of summer! lol 70$ !
