Wheel offset for F10

Hi, i am planning to change my 8x18" original wheels to an aftermarket 8x17".
I noticed allmost all after market wheels i came accross have an offset of 34 or 35 whilst the original wheels' offset are 30.
Has anybody fitted 8x17 wheels with a 35 offset before on his F10?
Appreciate your feedback.

Not a problem. Wheels will be offset or pushed in 5mm, hardly noticeable. Do pay attention to hub diameters though. OEMs are 72.56mm, many aftermarket wheels for BMW are 74.1mm, which require hub rings to prevent vibrations at highway speeds.

another thing is to make sure that the 17" wheels fit with enough brake clearance.
