What are you comparing to? If you're comparing the 550i mufflers to the M5 mufflers, the M5's have the vacuum valve on the outside tips and the 550i's have the valves on the inside tips. Also, M5 piping should be 3" vs 2.75".

realoem list the part numbers as 18307845467/8 for the (non Comp Package version) but the easiest way to tell is visual. As James23 points out, the F10 M5 (and for that matter the F12 M6) muffler have a unique vacuum valve location and pipping size. and visually look like no other F10 muffler.
