Question Spare tire and lowered on non RF's?

Those of you that are lowered either on springs or coilovers on non RF's what are you running for spare or are you praying you'll never get a flat! I've seen the spare tire kits but those lil donuts I don't know if it'll work if the car is lowered? 2nd, for the time being I'm using my front staggered 20" 356 OEM wheel as a spare but never thought if it'll work in the rear? please chime in as I would definitely appreciate it!

As you know I'm lowered on 20's with no run flats, I have no spare so I have a plug kit and a small quality air compressor in the trunk. If I get a nail or screw in my tire I will plug it myself if I can't get it fixed right then. I just recently had my car coded and one of the things I had coded was the tpms to show air pressure in each tire along with temp. While I'm driving I can monitor the temp and pressure to know if I'm getting a low tire, you could use your stock tpms program to tell you if you have a low tire, then get it fixed right away or plug it and get it fixed later if your on the highway out of town. Also I bought my tires from discount tire direct and they have a wharehouse in Arizona, so if I go out of town it will most likely be California and with my warranty on the tires they can overnight me a tire if its not repairable. I believe they have a wharehouse in Ohio too, that's my plan anyway.

Lowered on non-RF 20's here. I have a space saver (donut) wheel/tire from an E60 5 series. Rear fitment is no problem. For the front I use a spacer to clear the front brakes, but I already run spacers for my OEM 19's in the winter, so I just keep them in the car in case I get a flat when I am on my 20's. I also have a small scissor jack that fits in the trunk cubby. Yes scissor jacks suck, but they are better than the OEM crap BMW used to give us (back when they gave you a jack)

i have the scissor jack i took from my son's Corolla lol so with the space saver wheel no issues with the rear but the front i'll need a spacer...do you know what size?

I tested it with my 10mm spacer and it cleared the brakes, no problem. I run 15mm spacer in the rear on my winters, and 10mm with my summer 20's, so I always have a spacer on my rears, but if I remember correctly the wheel clears without it. You can find the E60 space savers on EBay. I found a brand new one that a guy had in his E60 but never used and then his car was totaled. Paid $100 for it plus about $20 for shipping.

This is the route I was going but my subwoofer box takes up too much space to put a spare, so I got the air compressor and the plug kit so i would atleast have something. My girl has an 05 e60 and were trading it in on a new bmw for her and I'm stealing the spare before we take it in.

Pics of compressor and tire plug kit......

I used this the other night to air up my girls tires and it works great, you just program the psi you need and push start and it airs up the tire and stops when it reaches the programmed psi. Also the cord is long enough to plug it into the cig lighter in the front.

Plug kit.......

I just happen to be at the auto parts store and took pics of the stuff I got. Let me also say that this will only be a temporary fix, if I did have to use this I would get the tire plugged properly when I had the time.
