Hey I have a 2015 535i M Sport XDrive. Its currently stock. I wanted to get crackle and pop noises from my car, I heard I need downpipes and burble tune for that but As far as I know for burble tune I need to flash the ECU from RkTunes here in new york, I dont wanna flash my ECU for warranty purposes, I wanted to get JB4, so I take it off everytime I go to the dealer.

For the Downpipes I will get ER Catless downpipes
I got quoted $800 for the downpipe and it installed from RKTUNES.

Is there anyway to get the burble tune without flashing the ECU?

Also Will it pop with stock mufflers and ER Catless downpipe installed? Or I need to get a good exhaust system too?

My budget is around $1000-1700 Max I can go.

I don't know a means by which to get a burble/pop on overrun decel without a flash tune.

Regardless the stock mufflers will attenuate it almost completely.

IIRC, popping is nothing more than a back-fire through the exhaust; something that will destroy the $$$$ catalytic converter.

I got M5 mufflers installed with nothing else done and I the burble noise when I shift up with some power on it.

Not sure if applicable to F10 chassis but on the other N55 platforms, MPPK + MPE I believe is sufficient for teh burblez.

That is exactly what I wanted to get the burble noise but I want it even when im revving at neutral

I was thinking to get M5 mufflers with ER high flo catted or catless downpipe

You'll get more pops when you have less restrictive cats

I know this is old, but for the OP:

- You'll want mufflers of some sort. Take your pick
- You'll want a catless DP.

Both of these will restrict the sound you want if you don't do them.

- Finally you'll NEED a tune. The burble and pops you want is the tuner dumping extra fuel into the cylinders without a spark, so the unburnt fuel goes through to the hot exhaust and POP PIPPITY POM BAM BOOM
