I got right at $53.5K+tax, bringing the total to $57K and change. Not bad as I had paid 57.5K last November and put on a decent amount of mileage since then.

LOL! I did a quickie image size change to get them on to the site and it blurred them out. iPhone 6+ actually takes surprisingly good pics.

FYI- I was able to negotiate the claim value to $57,530 + 7% tax. A fair price considering I thought I got a great deal when I paid $57,500 for the car last November.

That was 45k plus in damages??? I'd hate to see what it will be in car accident involving another car at highway or in town speeds? I'm sure there's alot of suspension and drivetrain damage but 45k seems ridiculous. These cars are way overpriced in MY opinion, no offense to anyone but I just don't see 45k in damage here that's half the cost of the car. Once again no offense to anyone, I'm just shocked and a little dissapionted that they could be that much to repair.

About $12K in airbags and associated parts alone...

The high cost of repair goes to show the economy of scale achieved by factory production. Think of what a 550i would cost if one mechanic in the US had to order each part himself by number and then assemble the entire car alone from scratch. The final cost would be astronomical, and that's why the repairs get so expensive so quickly.

All of that aside, how is your 2016 550i? Could you give us some feedback on the changes between your new 550 and old 550? Enjoy the new whip nonetheless!

I still don't have it yet!

It came into the Port of NJ on the 4th so I expect to take delivery late next week. Very exciting! They said I am getting the first 2016.

I'll post some pics and feedback when possible.
