I would not put 22" on the car. No way. Lower it. I had an 08 550i that sat 1.5 inch lower than the new F10 55i and my 08 was stock. 22in will mess with your speedo unless you want to use super thin tires like 20 series. I think it would look too ghetto.

I might be done. I thought about the exhaust but the ones I saw are 2500 which is a rip off. Also the Dinan Stage 1 for 495 sounds good but not for 3k. I don't keep cars too long and I know I can sell the wheels but the exhaust and software is sunk money. Any thoughts?

Exhaust is a MUST!! IMO
However, it all depends on what your looking for in an exhaust, if you don't mind a little drone you can just add some muffler for like $300- $400 bucks at your local muffler shop. Or if your looking for a more exotic tuned sound with minimal to no drone you can buy a quality exhaust which will cost you $2500 + per say , and by the time your done with the car in a year or two you can easily sell for $1900 because its a quality part and more people will own F10's by then also. So in actuality your only paying $600 + install +uninstall for the use of the exhaust and making a good percentage of your money back. Just my 2 cents. |

I read a lot of stuff and many people had so so comments about H&R stings and Eibach. They sag they bounce etc I read a few posts about RD and the reviews were stellar. Yes they are $800 not $400 so two x but they are still half the price of coil overs. And I won't keep my car for three years otherwise I would have bought coil overs. When you place springs on your car it does reduce the shock life. Maybe from 50k to 30k miles or so. But I'm telling you the ride is excellent. It is just stiff enough to bring you back to the BMW feel but not bouncy nor feel like you are in a lowered car. My wife rode it it last night and she said the same thing. I would not hesitate and buy the RD. They al lower the car pretty close.

especially performance upgrades where u spend alot 4 minimal gains... plus its not like u race every car u c, or do u? imo all u really need is an exhaust 4 better sound n exterior mods 2 enhance the aesthetics. so if i were u, i'd get: aw reflectors, coilovers, front lip, rear diff, n an exhaust. n since u dont keep cars 4 long, these mods should sell easily when it's time

Have you ever driven a lowered car? Bumps are really not the issue. Of course you want to pay attention and not run into huge potholes. I live in San Diego so the roads are the same in LA. The real issue is you will need to drive sideways into driveways when they are steep otherwise you will scratch your front lip or when you park it near a curb. BUT>>>> trust me, you will get used to it. I have had several lowered cars. You will be fine. If you ever get to SD you can check mine out. Like I said, mine is a daily driver and the ride quality is very very good. I do take driveways angled but again, I am used to it.

I read a few bad things about H&R. I had those on an M3 yrs back with no issues. But I read another F10 forum where people had issues. So I did not want to take the chance. Yes RD are 400 buck more than H&R but that is chump change compared to the car value. I don't know, I just did not want to risk it. I can tell you that I am 100% satisfied with the drop and ride with the RD.

DVD in Motion
Hey Guys, I just downloaded this and installed it. Freaking killer! Also, you can zoom in the screen so the movie takes up your WHOLE screen. It just looks super cool.
