The ONR, Optimum No Rinse. And here you are some clips with the aplications. If the car is not heavy dirty you can use this product with much confidence. It is safe for the paint and also add some protection. I believe, for clean roads as you have in Germany, this is the ideal product for you. |

Glad it worked out. I find that most waxes work just about the same, it's just how hard or easy they are to apply and remove, and whether or not one bothers to be consistent about using them. In terms of application, I use the Porter Cable 7424, it's something every every detail shop owns. Makes applying wax and basic paint correction, very easy, and the coats go on evenly, something that's very hard to do by hand. @ d-rive, thanks for the alternative option I will consider it.
@ Gatoman & Fireman, much jealousy, I am afraid to use my new F10 as a guinea pig for my own skill development. I am fearful to undertake such projects you speak of in your posts. Going to have to consider all my options but again thanks all.

I have never used zymol, but i detail cars as a second job and Zaino's line of product are fantastic and last 5-8 months for most of my customers even driven through the winter salt! I have also made some very crummy paint look awesome with this wax.

I know it's not much use to you folks over the water, but for product description, evaluation and utilisation you might like to check this excellent website: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/
As it happens they're very close to where I live; they're very knowledgeable and helpful people and don't try and force you to buy the most expensive thing on the shelf. With the impending delivery of my white F10 in mind I sought their advice on the best way to protect and polish it; they recommended the following: Protect and shine with Werkstat Acrylic Jett - £16 Post wash detail with Werkstat Acrylic Glos - £10 Seal wheels with 'Poorboy's' wheel sealant - £14 They're both spray-on/wipe-off products, apparently easy to use and I'm hoping they'll leave no white residue on the rubber. Going by common consensus and advice from others on: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/index.php, I've declined the dealer applied £300 'Supagard', so I'll get the car straight home, wash with Meguairs, get it in the garage, wheels off and get to work. I'll post pictures when I'm done and await comment! |
