Adaptive Transmission Control in Sport Automatic Transmission Option

Is there more to explain it than that it has faster synchronized shifting or something along that line?

For me the SAT 'box is just a better setup than the standard offering. Superb shift patterns when in sport mode, with fast paddle changing. Over here in the UK the sport 'box is a cheap option, adding paddles in the package. Makes so much sense to have it, even if the sport mode is not used all the time.
