I will absolutely post some pics and videos once its installed. But in the meantime I had 2 questions for anyone experienced with this exhaust system.

1. Will it fit my Non-M-Sport stock rear diffuser?

2. Does anyone know what is involved with installing the remote system or wiring?

Shouldn't you have asked your vendor if this exhaust fits your diffuser before you completed the purchase?

Or you could just help me and answer the question

Kind of an after thought to be honest.....but I am willing to sacrifice the diffuser for this exhaust. Just want to know what I am in for so I can notify my installer.

Also for the record, no offense because I did absolutely shop you..... but I didn't see the product offered for my vehicle on your website.

Ultimately this was a last minute impulse buy that I got from another vendor on New Years Eve....they gave me an offer that I didn't turn down.

You can either cut the current diffuser or get a quad one.

The wiring is pretty simple to do.
What I do on BMW's is use the access ports in the trunk floor (small rubber grommet), remove the plug and carry the wiring into the trunk area.
Then I use the fuse box in the passenger compartment.
Make sure that the fuse you use is for a component that "goes to sleep" otherwise you will create a draw and have a dead battery.

Nope, gonna send it into the shop but again I want to know what I am getting into and more than likely will have to give some direction to whomever does the install.

This is correct: the GTHAUS Meisterschaft have already posted the answer to the first question here: http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=677543 and also in their blog: http://gthausblog.com/?p=1050 It is possible doing both ways, the non-MSport 535i show car is on the pictures.

Regular non-MSport diffuser custom cut: http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/w...BM101401_5.jpg

The valves have electro motors. The installers should connect them to the battery and have custom hard switch in the cabin, or have integrated the upgrade unit called GTC Wireless Remote Control:

Unfortunately from what I've read there is no info on how they cut or measured the diffuser

So I did buy the GTC Wireless Remote Control, so with that I will not have to hard wire anything correct? Does this change the other install wiring notes that people have mentioned?

If you want to use a switch then all you are doing is carrying the wiring into the cabin of the vehicle to where the switch is located.
The wireless remote feature, all your doing is wiring up the unit to a power source so that the valves open and close by using the remote

Ok, I follow.

So I am going to need the power source regardless.

Any idea if they provide enough wire or will I need have it?

The expensive exhaust made for the 550 should fit the pipe ducts and OEM rear parts of the 550. I didn'f find for you any example of this exhaust on 550i without M Tech. But what the guys did with the 535: they took a regular 535 diffuser (it is two side single tip) and made two wider cut outs like for 550. Looks not so perfect as OEM but they could live with it.

What diffuser do you actually have?

As for the valve control, I saw the connection just once (I have different exhaust without valves). The wires were connected to the wireless unit installed inside of the trunk which was connected to fuse panel i.e. to 12V DС. The guy was sitting on driver's place and pressing the buttons on the remote control, so the valves were moving both ways. You supposed to have the installation and operation manual, otherwise ask GTHAUS or just engage an experienced local partner to do the job for you.

I have the OEM Non M sport or Base Model 550i diffuser. Like the one pictured below.... I feel like it should be big enough?

I'd be interest to know which shop you pick. I found one or two places in Tampa that seemed trust worthy but never really had them do any work. I actually went to Orlando to get my ACS springs installed. But that was almost two years ago now when most people hadn't touched a F10 before.

I use the diagnostic guy for a lot of my work....does a great job, honest, and very reasonable. You can pm for more details and contact info.

Ok so good news.....here is the response I got backfrom GT Haus

"Hello,

Our 4x90mm tips on our BMW F10 550i unit are actually a direct replacement for the OEM rectangle style tip. You will not have any fitment issues.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance. Thank you!

Best Regards,

GTHAUS"

So apparently no cutting
