Painted the calipers, thoughts?

Did this Sunday afternoon. Was quite easy, took around 1 hour to complete.

- Removed the wheels.
-Taped off the area with plastic garbage bags and masking tape, covered the car with a painting sheet.
- Sprayed the calipers down with duplicolor caliper degreaser and scrubbed with a toothbrush.
- Rinsed the calipers with water and dried.
- In sweeping, steady strokes sprayed on the VHT caliper paint. 2 coats, 10 to 15 minute intervals between coats.
- Applied vinyl M/// Logo.
- sprayed the clear on in the same manner the paint was applied.
- Mounted wheels.

Used one of the large M/// logos on my ipad case, got a little crazy. ha.

I have to give the credit to Aceman for the inspiration, he did this to his 550i and it looked amazing. I had to follow suit.

Wow that's awesome work!

I did it the hard way and removed them so I could take to a body shop to have them paint it while my car was on jack stands for days.

That looks Great!!!!! I've been thinking of doing this. Im torn between Red and burnt orange.
Do you think that the heat the breaks produce the vinyl will shrink? That was my concern. I would just have BMW on my caliper as I have no sport package.
Please update us on the vinyl.
Thanks

The Vinyl is apparently high temp tolerant, plus you will clear coat it. I am sure it will not shrink unless you're tracking. The BMW letter will look nice too. Go burnt orange!

Sweeeet ! I wanna do this.

BTW, how did you get behind if you didn't take off the calipers? And if you didn't get behind, do you think you managed to get a good enough seal around the paint towards the back to prevent it from peeling or flaking?
