New 535xi or 550xi -- Which Has Better Reliability?

I say it's simply draw of the luck.

My 550 had two electronic issues within the first couple of months of ownership, since then, no problem at all.

they're probably equally below average reliability. Comes down to luck

Does the 550xi suffer the same HPFP problems that the 535xi may suffer from?

They use the same parts and the same people to do research and development, I agree with bobblehead! It all comes down to your budget really!

PS: unless you live where it snows or on rough terrain, save your money and get the rear wheel drive, i just bought a 550i in that set up. I'm in Miami where it just wont stop raining and i still don't find the need for all wheel drive, the rear wheel drive bmws are really good
