Replica rims? Are they bad
Someone told me, I should just get a replica of a rim, and he insisted that they are the same quality as the other ones but without the brand name ? But they must be different, quality, and weight ? |

Depends on the wheel. M5 replicas are usually low pressure cast and oem M5 wheels are forged so they are obviously higher quality. Stronger, lighter and more durable. But for what most of us use our cars for the Reps will be just fine. I only sold my M5 reps to go 21".

All the talk about cast vs forged is true to an extent, but for what most people use these cars for, you'll never know the difference. If you can find a lighter cast wheel that's obviously the best alternative. I drove my old Evo hard and tracked it multiple times with inexpensive Rotas wrapped with huge low profile tires, and never had one problem. The key is, if you hit a pothole at 75mph with 40 series rubber, you're likely to crack whatever wheel you're riding on.

I've had Rep m3 csl styles on my f10 for a bit was fine... there honestly is no difference at all with the reps vs oem when it comes to looks. and like @lesterh1 and Dan said you'll be fine..
