New motor- I'm in
Hoping your right. A few other sites out there are reporting it. If it's confirmed, I'm putting an order in. If they push it off I'll probably end up test driving the new S6 when it shows up later this year. Then, you know, things happen.....

I think at this time, the only thing we can do is wait. I think that the power boost was a misunderstanding by someone. I hope it's true, but I doubt it.
When I get my 550 (currently at the docks in Germany waiting on a boat), I will post my findings. |

Well the 2013 Canada product guide for the f10 5-series sedan states the 550ix engine code is 'N63B44'.....which is what the 2011-2012 have.

I ordered a 2013 550ix and it arrived at the dealership on Friday. It has the new BMW Valvetronic and TwinPower Turbo engine. The window sticker doesn't show the horsepower number, but it does show in the standard equipment the valvetronic engine. Also, different from last year's model is that the EPA mileage figures are 15 city; 24 Highway; combined 19. Last year the sticker showed 15/20. The salesman stated that it is the same engine that is going in the 650i. This should settle all doubts about the new engine in the 550's.

Tell him to put it in writing or show you BMW spec sheet. If its not the increased hp, tell him you will cxl order. See what he says then....

With that being the case, I assume the car did not have a Gas Guzzler Tax? BMWUSA.com was showing the 2013 550i with a $1000 GGT for a while...
