Mission Performance 1st 535 was mine, and its the best it's been thus far. It will only get better with a big ass turbo, shed 3-400 lbs and meth injection.

Also are you saying the JB4 didn't play nice with your ecu at 1st? You had to send data logs to Terry? If so how long did that go on for?
Exactly you see I am PTF & Enzo's first X4 as well =D and yes I was JB4 first X4 after months of spending money at drag-strip and dyno, they just weren't interested in investing time into the M2/X4 M40i (share the same engine and similar software) where standard settings for N55 weren't working right.

I had jb4 from May till Nov, car was very inconsistent (even with latest firmware, more settings tweaked, e85 blend or 93, downpipe or stock cats, all wires including the extra EWG).

It's the same story every M2 I talk to tells me or I see, BMS says you need more fueling u need more BMS tied down, BS! They tie u down spending money on their kits and then later on say "It is what it is" well it is what it is my 93 oct BM3 Map outperforms the e30 map1/2/5/7 with jb4

I would be careful bringing in your car to the dealer for warranty repair as your ecu has been tampered. PTF did say that the tune is detectable during dealer visits and they may refuse or void the drivetrain portion of your warranty.

Car is still under warranty so no harm in trying to set them to replace things.

If not, i know another dealer that is friendlier with mods, i can take it there if my local refuses.

Make sure your local dealer doesn't flag your car in the system/database for your tune. I remember seeing a post of it happening to someone on the F8x boards.

As long as his car is flash back to stock hes fine. If his ECU has the tampered code he would be seeing this already. And PTF knows how to delete this as some cars get it, some cars don't.

It was a JB4 car actually just recently, not BM3 car

Car hasnt been flashed yet, just DME unlock so i should be fine. We didnt do any tune yet because the car is being put in LIMP mode until the codes get fixes. I plugged in my own OBD reader and thats the codes its throwing. Should be a simple fix as i read up on the codes, could be somre wires or sensor thats it.

No it was not a JB4 car, it actually happened to a Gintani tuned car.

How many miles you at that you're getting all these codes ? I'm really thinking about doing bootmod3. I'm at 54k and just did my plugs and coils within last 1k miles. Only downside for me is the authorized dealer by me doesn't have a dyno. I want to do a before and after dyno for my 2012 n55 xdrive since I'm stock and run their 93 map.

As long as you go anywhere with Dynojet should be fine even if its not your dealer

Yeah I know. I just wanted to do everything all at once. Not have to dyno somewhere stock. Then get bootmod3 and then have to go back and dyno again. I'm going to try and work something out maybe since this shop hasn't done any f10 n55 yet. They have done other vehicles.

Im at 48K miles right now. Reading up on codes it could be simple wires reading sensors wrong or needs a replacement pump.

So what should this whole thing typically run me out the door? I'm in SoCal. Shoot me a PM if you'd like. Interested if it's that much more worth it than my current JB4 setup.

Typically $1000 ... +300 if you want the module to control from phone.

With BM3 you have the option to flash right on the spot as long as you have your OBD2 to Enet cable, Laptop/Device/Or Tablet to run the Agent and/or paired up with your phone. You can flash to stock or tune within 2mins done.

Contact SSR Performance if you're in SoCal, they' have unlocked and tuned the most BMW's in the whole state for BM3 since they were the first US Dealer.
