radiator leaking after 30,000km

radiator leaking after 30,000km
My radiator is leaking from the back of the core at the very bottom. No way is it stone damage. $1600 Aus for the part!.
This just proves bmw are all talk..just out of warranty too so I bought one online for 400 and Im gonna fit myself. Anyone else had this issue? |

I'm assuming my car will be similar to yours. PM me your email address and I'll send you some documentation. You will need to remove the fan cowl which also requires removal of the cross connection and some other bits and bobs.

Mine just did the same thing, only I had a leak from the back right side. Had an extended warranty but it only covered some of the work and of course BMW found a failed coil and had to replace that as well... Not too techy so I had me do it but good luck man!

Thanks tmarshall57 you're a great help. The radiator fan cowling design is defective. The fan cowl rubs through the radiator fins. They all leak on the rhs rear where you cannot see. Just need to track down the electric pump bleeding procedure and I'm away. Looks petty simple. Thanks again!
