Which paddle shifters do I need?

I recently purchased a M Performance Alcantara wheel that does not come with the paddle shifters. Where can I get these and which ones do I need?

You'll need paddles from a pre-lci wheel. The resistance configuration is different on LCI.

I think I have the paddles you need as a matter of fact, PM me the link to the wheel you bought!

For your car I think this is right.

Rocker-type shift lever, left up to 07/2013 61319218399
Rocker-type shift lever, right up to 07/2013 61319218400

List price $533.14 for the pair.

and yes I have a good pair.

I have a base 2011 535I Xdrive without paddles and just recently purchased a 2011 M sport wheel with paddles including airbag.

does anything need to be hardwired or is it just coding to activate paddles? My shop is telling me I need a hardwire harness but based the info on this forum all I see if coding require.

You'll need to add 2TB to the VO, and code the KOMBI, EGS, GWS, ICM, SZL to reflect the addition. Otherwise the paddles will not work, the car doesn't know to pay any mind to them.

Nope. I did the same when I changed my base wheel to a sport wheel. I also had to do some airbag surgery as my wheel & airbag came from Lithuania.

The SZL is already prewired for the paddles, its just a software change in the associated modules to enable them.
