2011 F10 535i Shocks & Struts

I have over 106,000 miles on my F10 and it's time to replace the shocks and struts. I had already replaced the springs to AC Schnitzers which lowered the car by an inch, but left the OEM shocks & struts.

I just ordered a set of Bilstein B8 Performance Plus shocks and struts which are designed for lowering springs. I got them from ajusa.com for $734.62 including free shipping and a 5% discount for ordering the 4 instead of just 2. Part #24-178525 x 2 rears and 24-178518 & 24-178501 right and left fronts.

I'm excited to see how they will change the ride of the car. Does anyone have a similar setup and how do you like it?

Bmw doubles just did his and i think he went with Koni's. i'll look. you should definitely feel a difference as your OEM shocks aren't really meant to be used when lowered.

he'll probably chime in here once he's on

I'm still waiting for my Koni's! It's supposed to be shipped this week so I don't have an experience to share. I ended up deciding on Koni's for 2 reasons.

1. Eibach sport springs were tested with Koni's sports.
2. Koni dampening is adjustable

I had Koni's on my Acura Integra paired with some Skunk2 coilovers and I loved them! If I was going with shocks the Koni's would be my option 1 and Bilstein's as option 2 for the Bimmer!

Never had Koni's. I've heard blistiens are stiffer than Koni's, but maybe thats not a bad thing on a heavier car. Light frames like Acura's or even 3 series for that matter may translate for bilstiens into more chassis vibration.

Koni's were more of a "Bling" back than because they were the best shock company at that time! i've had Bilsteins on my lifted Tundra and didn't know they made them for European cars until awhile ago

Well I finally got the tracking number and my Koni's will be here tomorrow afternoon. I'll have them installed in the next few days. Koni's have been available for BMWs as far back as the 90's.
