You're lucky. They are still showing back ordered on the website...

Just checked the web, they changed the available date to 04/08/16 :

I have no idea what happened. Since I ordered the tires a week ago, that might be the reason why mine got shipped.

Thank you for pointing it out

What's the difference in the K1 Ferrari version? They have some available now. Are they just as good, it is just personal preference?

No, they are different. K1 tires are designated for Ferrari. They have less thread (7/32, instead of 10/32 on regular non-K1 tires for brand new rear 285). Also, the side wall is a little bit round shaped compared with the regular one, therefore K1 will give you a more stretched look.

But I also call Michelin USA, they told me that the versions would have an extremely similar performance.

So I would say the K1 might be a choice if the regular PSS is not in stock and you can't wait for them.

Oh, that's a big difference. I'll wait for the regular PSSs. Thanks for the info.

The K1's have a weird sidewall - they look like the rim is too wide for the width of the tire. Stick to the PSS tires.

Well, I would if they would just offer some. I'm practically running on slicks and do not know much longer I can hold out. Also looking to maybe sell the car, so need good tires on her.

I needed a 285/30/20 PSS due to getting a nail in the shoulder of one of my tires and none of the tire shops had one so as a last resort I ended up going to the BMW dealership and getting one there. It wasn't cheap, but it got me back on the road.

Chili, which dealer? Can I ask how much?

Ok, so I called BMW San Diego {Kearny Mesa} and they have them for $337, only a few dollars more that Tirerack, and they are getting them in only a couple days, I have an appointment Monday to have them put on, and I even get a loaner. Stoked!!!

Glad my info helped you. I got mine at Savage BMW in Ontario, Ca. I can't remember how much, it was about $40 more than America's Tire Co. when they have them in stock.

Thank you for your service.

I got a pair for $337 each {only $7 a piece more than Tirerack} from a local dealer in just 2 days, and not the K1 Ferrari's. Thanks for the advice, did not think of going to dealer.
