Probably the usual: bumper change, squared off halo etc... My question is will they change the headlights to be similar to the f30? The "tear duct" look?

Its safe to say that LED headlight option with the squared halos will become an option on the LCI update along with HP increases. Nothing is confirmed obviously but these two is pretty much 99.9% going to happen in the LCI.

Hopefully its just minor bumper/headlight changes to the exterior without any sheet metal changes. My F10 isn't even here yet and i feel like i am already counting down the days where it is already outdated....

I wouldn't think so.

LCIs usually come out in year five of a seven year model cycle. The E60 was first released as a MY2004, and the LCI was a MY2008. The F01 was introduced two years before the F10 as a MY2009 and its LCI is just being released now as a MY2013.

I would expect the F10's LCI to be a model year 2015, released in the spring or fall of 2014.

Believe me i certainly hope you are right and I am wrong since i don't want my 2013 to become the "old" model within a year but see this thread here by SCOTT26

http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=708189

"In the meantime the car will receive an LCi in the next twelve months which will see the 5er inherit similar LED technology as the latest 7er , some additional technology updates and engine upgrades and subtle styling changes with a look inspired by the 2010 BMW Active Hybrid 5 Concept.
The 5er could also be the basis for a world first high efficiency model powered by BMW's upcoming three cylinder engine."

He seems to work for BMW HQ and has all the inside scoop on anything Bmw.

+1 That is the pattern. My client adviser also said the same in a conference call today.

If you follow the E90 platform which came out in 2006 and the LCI came out in 2009 (4th year in)

It will be the same for the F10. 2011 and LCI 2014MY

2014 builds will most likely start sept/oct of 2013 for December delivery. You have a long ways to go.

Nope. Always in year 4 of the 7 year cycle. This way the LCI can carry the model forward in its last 4 years. So 2014 model, available starting in Fall 2013.

You may want to check your history and your math a little closer.

My guess is March 2013 as a 2014 model. The E60 LCI was March 2007 as a 2008 model.

Right, so let's do the E60 math:
MY2004 = model year 1
MY2005 = model year 2
MY2006 = model year 3
MY2007 = model year 4
MY2008 = model year 5, the LCI model

The same math applied to the F01. And - it should follow - for the F10:
MY2011 = model year 1
MY2012 = model year 2
MY2013 = model year 3
MY2014 = model year 4
MY2015 = model year 5, the LCI model, likely to be introduced in the spring (like the E60) or the fall (like the F01) of 2014

Good to know my math is still ok. History was never my strong suit

That would be awesome for everyone like me who is waiting for the LCI. Do you have a link to the guide (I searched and couldn't find it)? Thanks.
