Snow socks

I live in Gloucestershire where we have had more snow than I can remember for some time. I live at the bottom of a steepish cul-de-sac and yesterday nobody got their car out including a 4x4 Nissan X Trail.

I put snow socks on my car this morning (first time I've ever used socks) and drove up the hill like it was dry.

Amazing products for emergency use and only cost me about £25 new last summer.

I don't work for any company selling these but I can totally recommend keeping a set in the boot for those 'just in case moments'.

I got mine on EBay this summer. Not sure if they are sold in the US (or legal) but a company called The Roof Box company sells them in the UK.

It's dark in the UK now but I'll post a picture tomorrow.

I was caught for 8 hrs in Basingstoke a few years back and since then I have had socks in the boot of all our cars.

Great for snow but or you must remove them on tarmac or they will shred.

Last week with them on ..30 on snow..without 9mph and if I stopped without I couldn't get the car moving again.

We find the wheel arches challenging when stretching the socks on on our 17" wheeled 520

Yeah, getting them on 18" wheels with 275-section tyres is virtually impossible.
