Active Cruise Control retrofit to F10 M5

Hello everyone,

I am thinking of buying an F10 M5, however one thing really bothers me about this car: Active Cruise Control

Namely it can't be factory equipped with this function, I am currently very fond of it in my E92 and wouldn't be able to live without it.

Is that possible, the retrofit?

Cheers,
GreQonE

I read up on this when I got mine a little over a year ago, anything is possible, but have yet to see it done on a Fxx chassis.

Too much wiring, new switches, sensors all over the car and a calibration that only a dealer can do.

Might just be easier to Find a M5 with that option already.

This option is unavailable in the M5

It's available for all "civil" cars, but not in M cars.

I wonder if it could be retrofit to a 550i xDrive...

If it is possible to get this option for 550i from factory then an retrofit shouldn't be an issue

I just finished the Surround View and Side Camera view retrofit on my 2013 F10. These are are AMAZINGLY easy to work upon. For instance, the OEM wiring harness uses standard black zip ties to attach to chasis. SO you can cut it, insert your new Option wire and zip back up. Love the engineering on these cars!
